Carelink
offers and monitors 24 by 365 the users
of our system from our control centre located in the
Nunsthorpe and Bradley Park Resource Centre. The Centre is equipped with a Jontek Control System. This computerised system is capable of handling in excess of 20,000 alarm units and associated monitoring devices. A backup power supply is installed within the control centre and is capable of providing enough power to run the Control System for up to eight hours in case of a power outage in the area thus providing continuity of service for our clients. When one of our clients presses their pendant or the red button on the front of an alarm unit to call us, the call will be answered by the operator at Carelink. The operator will then speak to he client via the loudspeaker built in to the alarm unit to ascertain the nature of the call The Carelink operator will then alert the relevant people or services that are required to provide appropriate aid to the client. All calls into and out from the control centre are recorded and logged on the computer and maybe used for training purposes, but all information and communication between Carelink and the customer are handled with strictest confidence and will not be divulged to a third party without customer consent. Carelink have a wide range of monitoring tools available for clients from simple push buttons to fall monitors, gas and water detectors (with associated automatic cut offs) and monitored medication dispensers. |
